Planegg, Germany / Pune, India, May 2026: With a new manufacturing and engineering facility in Pune, BBM Akustik is expanding its international capacity for industrial noise control systems.
Following approximately two years of construction, the facility officially began operations in May 2026. The investment of approximately €12 million underscores the Müller-BBM Group’s long-term growth strategy.
The new facility is specifically designed to meet the requirements of complex, large-scale projects:
- Manufacturing of large-scale noise control systems for power generation and energy facilities, as well as for the process and manufacturing industries
- Integration of engineering, production, and logistics at a single location
- Efficient operations supported by modern manufacturing and logistics facilities
This integrated approach enables shorter project lead times, extensive in-house manufacturing capabilities, and consistent quality.
The new Pune facility strengthens BBM Akustik’s ability to execute projects throughout Asia while also expanding support for customers in Europe, North America, and the Middle East.
Pune provides a high-performance manufacturing environment that combines economic efficiency with environmental responsibility. An on-site photovoltaic system allows a significant share of operations to be powered by renewable energy. The buildings and surrounding areas have also been designed with sustainability in mind. Certification under India’s green building standard is currently in progress.
The close integration of the Pune facility with the company’s locations in Germany and North America creates a global manufacturing network with scalable capacity and interdisciplinary expertise.
